1.Junior Hair Stylist

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: $8 to 12.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week, Other Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials: Beautician License/Hairstylist Trade Certification
Experience: 4yrs
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Japanese
Work Setting: Hairstyling salon or studio
Hair Cutting Techniques: Scissor cutting ,Long hair trimming ,short hair cutting
Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Braiding, Iron waving/ curling, Extensions, Roller setting,  Japanese styling
Hair Coloring Techniques: Dyes/tints, Streaking/highlights
Related Skills: Analyze hair and scalp conditions and provide basic treatments, Provide advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
Barbering specific skills: Cut and trim hair, provide scalp massages, Wave, Japanese Hair Straightening and tint hair
 

2.Laser Hair Removal/Photo Facial Technician

Salary: $8 to 12.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week, Commission, Other Benefits

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: 7 - 11 months
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Japanese
Work Setting: Specialty shop
Type of Experience: Salesperson/clerk
Product Experience/Knowledge: Cosmetics and toiletries
Specific Skills: Operate cash register, Customer service oriented, Set up displays of merchandise in windows or display cases, Process money, cheque and credit/debit card payment, Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, Provide advice about merchandise, Suggest ways to care for goods, Provide cost estimates on materials, Suggestive selling, Work with minimal supervision, Arrange for repairs to products or equipment

Thank you for your interest in Joining the AOI Beauty Studio Team.  We are a 4 year old Hair Salon only a 2 minute walk from Stadium SkyTrain Station that focuses on the High End Japanese, Chinese and Caucasian Marketplace.  We are a full service Hair Salon on the main floor, and a Laser Hair Removal and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photo Facial clinic on the lower floor.

We are a rapidly expanding forward looking business and with the addition of 5 new Luxury High-rise apartment towers nearing completion within 2 blocks of our Location, we need highly motivated, talented stylists to service our growing High End client base.

1. Full Time $300 per month - 28 or more hours per week

2. Part Time $100 per month -27 or less hours per week
